TrueTones ("we", "our", or "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and safeguard your information when you use our mobile application.

Information We Collect

TrueTones is designed with privacy in mind. We collect and process only what is needed to provide the app's features:

• Photos: Photos you take or upload are processed entirely on your device. We do not upload, store, or access your photos on our servers.
• Face Data (on-device only): When you use guided capture, skin tone analysis, or AR makeup preview, the app analyzes face rectangles and facial landmarks using Apple's Vision framework, and ARKit face tracking data (such as face transform and blend shapes) for live preview. This analysis happens only on your device.
• Camera Input: The camera is used only when you open capture or AR preview. We do not record or transmit camera video.
• Purchase Information: Subscription purchases are handled by Apple's App Store. We receive transaction confirmations to unlock Pro features but do not have access to your payment details.

How We Use Information

The information processed by TrueTones is used solely to provide the app's functionality:

• Apply lighting filters to your photos
• Detect faces for accurate lighting simulation
• Analyze skin tones for personalized recommendations
• Manage your subscription status

Face Data Details

TrueTones uses face data only to enable the app's features and only while you are actively using those features.

• What is collected: Face rectangles, facial landmarks, and ARKit face tracking data (face transform and blend shapes).
• How it is used: To guide capture, analyze skin tone, highlight problem areas, and render AR makeup preview effects.
• Storage: Face data is not stored. It is processed in memory and discarded immediately after the session ends.
• Sharing: Face data is not shared and is never sent to any server.
• Processing location: On-device only.

Data Storage and Retention

TrueTones does not store your personal data on external servers. All photo processing occurs on your device. If you choose to save a photo, only the photo is saved locally in the app or your Photos library. Face data and analysis data are not saved and are discarded immediately after processing.

Third-Party Services

TrueTones uses the following third-party services:

• Apple StoreKit: For processing in-app subscriptions
• Apple Vision Framework: For on-device face detection
• Apple ARKit: For on-device face tracking in AR preview

These services are governed by Apple's privacy policies.

Data Sharing

We do not sell, trade, or share your personal information with third parties. We do not use your photos for any purpose other than providing the app's core functionality.

Security

We take reasonable measures to protect information processed by the app. Because all analysis is performed locally on your device and no personal data is stored on our servers, the risk of external data exposure is minimized.

Your Choices

• You can deny camera access and continue using non-camera features.
• You can delete saved photos from your device at any time.
• You can manage your subscription through your Apple ID account settings.

Children's Privacy

TrueTones is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
